Payment methods for utility payments?

Bank Drafts – Save you time and the convenience fee.

You can have your utility payment drafted each month. Bills are drafted on the 25th or the next working day. There is no convenience fee for Bank Drafts.


Drop Box:

A drop box is located in the City Hall parking lot for customers who prefer to drop off your payment. If you choose to use the drop box, please remember any payments placed in the drop box after 4:30 p.m. will not be processed until the next working day.


Kiosk Payments:

Did you know you can make your utility payments 24 hours a day at our payment kiosk? The kiosk allows you to use a credit card, debit card, check or money order to make your payment. It is located at City Hall on Highway 31, to the left of the front entrance.  


Online Payments:

Register to view your account online and you will have access to your utility account 24 hours a day where you can submit a service request, make a payment arrangement or pay your utility bill. To pay your utility account online, you will pay a convenience fee of $1.25.


Pay by Phone:

Beginning November 1, 2018 you will call our toll free number 833-326-7017 to make your utility payment by using your debit or credit card. Please note the Utility Department will no longer accept payments over the phone, you must use the toll free number. To pay your utility bill by telephone, you will pay a convenience fee of $1.25.

If you call city hall at 205-668-3500, you should press option 2 to pay by phone. You will need your account number and street address to make your payment; you will pay a convenience fee of $1.25.
